Hi everyone! Hope your Thursday has been great. Mine wasn’t fantastic but I shall not harp on it. I am more excited to share with you the design process. I have been scrolling through pinterest and google search for ideas especially for plus size ladies. Mind you, designing plus size clothes is quite the challenge as you don’t only want to design for her something beautiful but the most important thing here is that, it has got to be flattering! So after collating your responses on instagram and with much research so here is what it boils down to.
The basic structure of the dress: 1)Maxi dress 2) Empire waistline 3) Wrap dress (THIS! Is probably one of the most popular pattern for plus size dresses) I have seen this a lot apart from an empire waistline. Just look at the screenshot below
So I have sketched the first design to be as such… However I am yet to be satisfied because I want to design something that is not only flattering! Something that is different and unique for semi-formal dress.So yeap! Here’s the first sketch

The story of how I met my photographer is one of the strangest thing ever. We actually met on a language exchange application. Actually I have many Korean friends, however they are so busy that it is really hard to talk to them or to practise the language with them. So at that moment in time, I just thought of finding a new friend to talk to, to practise the Korean language.
To be honest, I have been studying Korean language for about 10 years now. However, I am too busy to focus on studying of the language so my progress has been pretty stagnant or growth is a little slow. In 2017, when I quit my full-time job I flew off to Korea and stayed there for 3 months (the reason was I wanted to experience living on my own and also a chance for me to improve my Korean). Then, my Korean language did develop or grew in a way because I was thrown into a situation that forced me to speak the language, do or die. Mind you, this point of time I have yet to meet this person.
So when I came back, I did not practise the language and my skills were slipping away. So I decided to download a language exchange application and he was actually the one who messaged me first. To be honest, it is not easy to find a proper friendship online. Usually when you chat with a person online, it only lasts for a few days the longest weeks. I have quite a few Korean friends who are more than friends to me now. More like family. These kinds of friendship are hard to come by.
The BB project was created to empower women through their clothing. It doesn’t matter the size you are. It is all about how you carry yourself and how the clothes you wear enhances you; confidence and self-esteem.

Hello everyone, So I have decided to write on the blog daily. So today’s topic is “How to keep a positive mindset?” . Especially in today’s world, I feel that keeping a positive mindset is crucial as we are often surrounded by negative images, negative comments, negative people who are always telling us that they are just trying to be realistic. You know what is worst? Watching the news, most of the time, news is filled with the atrocities that you often cannot imagine.
Therefore in life, we do need goals, dreams and hopes to keep you motivated. For me, I have decided to keep a book to write down my prayers daily. Prayers are like wishes. One thing about prayers is that you always have to keep a positive mind that god will grant all your prayers. Always think that it will be answered. How it is answered can be in various forms. It may be direct or it may be indirect. We have to keep our eyes and minds open to be aware of all the blessings that are bestowed upon us. They may not seem like blessings right now. But it may be a blessing in the future. It’s midweek everyone! Let’s hop over this hump day together.

This may be a bit emotional and a little bit personal as well. I have always been positive about everything but these days I feel more down then usual. I have lots of ideas and a lot of things I want to do for #dear12 but these days it hasn’t been easy. I have gone through too many obstacles lately. I am thankful for the support that I get from some people. However, I realise that in the end I am alone. I have always been one who is unable to express my feelings well and I always keep them bottled. I think now everything is reaching the brim of the bottle. All I want is a listening ear with no judgments passed but we are all humans. Humans are judgmental after all. For now all I can do is pray and work hard that everything in my life will have the best outcomes career wise and personal wise. The only reason, I write this is not to seek for sympathy. It is rather more of an outlet for me. Hopefully I will feel a lot better after this and keep pushing on and feel more positive vibes in life. Allah please keep me strong and please do not test me beyond my capabilities. I will try my best and do my best as long as I can.

Dear, December began because we wished to start something interesting in our lives and hope to turn this into something full-time instead of just doing our 9-to-5 jobs. Why make clothes? We are passionate about clothes and personally for me I have been designing a lot since I was a secondary school student. Be it clothes or product for daily use. Here at Dear, December we hope to provide clothes that are modest,fashionable and functional for women from all walks of life.
